Cafe` Maru

Last Saturday my friends and I visited this Korean Cafe near our school. We don't usually hang-out that often anymore, because of our conflicting schedules, stressful plates, and even MORE STRESSFUL plates, so we decided to finally bond together in hopes that we would somehow catch up with each others' lives, and we chose Cafe Maru as our haven. Actually, the main purpose of that visit was to be a moral support to our friend, Kaye, who would be having an interview with the cafe owner for the online magazine she's currently contributing to, but since we missed hanging out together so much, our moral-support-act turned into our let's-grab-this-opportunity-and-bond-together act! Here are some of the photos I took while we were in the Cafe, oh, and by the way it was definitely worth the effort of going there-- the food was great, the coffee was just simply amazing-- oozing with that distinct aroma of fresh coffee beans (yumm)-- and the place, I'd really have to give thumbs up to the owner for creating such a "homey" feel, there's that peaceful, inviting ambiance the moment you step inside, that tells you you'd never want to step out again, ever.

This is what my friend and I ate. I forgot what the name of the food was, but I surely didn't forget the taste it had! Ice Cream on waffle such a perfect combination! One thing I regret though is that I wasn't able to bring my camera, and take a lot of pictures, I was only using my phone's camera, so you see the crappy quality. And I only had one shot of the food taken, I wasn't even able to take a shot of the coffee we drank, so sad. (insert sad-teary-eyed-face here)

This is how the place looks like from the inside, there are a lot of cute drawings on the walls, and there are colorful pictures of random things you can see everywhere! There's even a note wall where you can pin a note containing whatever message you want to address to the cafe or to the future customers!

One thing I love about this Cafe is that they make it personal with the customers-- people who come inside can write, draw, or simply doodle away with the colorful pens and paper they provide, they also have cute pins and other accessories that you can play with, AND they have  games! Lots and lots of board games, puzzles and even tower games! Which makes it all the more fun for us and the other customers as well.

This will surely be on the list of my places-to-go-to-every-now-and-then. I know right? I'm definitely a sucker for good cafes with quality food and service, what else is new? If you're in Cebu, you definitely have to visit this Cafe! I know I have, and it's definitely worth it! So I guess I'll have to end this with hopes that I may have inspired you to try something new for a change? Maybe? See ya!
