"literature" happens

                      I should be happy with my literature subject, I should be-- it's interesting and there are a lot to read about, and I'm an avid reader of just about anything-- but the thing is I'm not. I am nowhere near happy, and I don't think I will ever be happy about it. Don't get me wrong, I love literature, but I just don't love the people I'm learning literature with. Can I just be blunt and judgmental for maybe just this time around and say that they're boring and no fun at all? And it gets worse. The teacher is trying with all of his might to make the subject more interesting, more fun, and more interactive, only to end up with one big lousy activity nobody wants to participate in! Now, that's harsh. I get it, we are a mixture of students with different courses but that doesn't mean we have to be the most "dead" class where of all 44 students, only 3 to 4 would participate and maybe try to enjoy what the subject has to offer. I understand that not everyone-- mainly, more than half of the class-- finds any interest in reading at all, or literature for that matter. I understand that people find it boring and just a waste of their precious time, but since were in it already would it really be that painful to just maybe even try to understand what is going on? Is it really that hard to pretend that they're the slightest bit interested in the subject even for just half the time we're in that room? Would they die even just to look at the teacher who is already sweating his guts out just to deliver the lesson in a manner that's fitting for all? Just because we pay for good education doesn't mean we have all the right to do whatever we want when we are in class, whether to listen or not to listen to boring or non-boring teachers. It is such a waste of time. I'm in an environment that is not conducive for learning because people are idle, they don't have anything to say, and they don't have any explanation for their "idleness" and it just irritates me. How can one very interesting subject take a turn for the worst just because no one is cooperating hard enough to make it work? This is lousy and I'm really upset. I should've taken a different schedule!
